Note on the booking cookie: The cookie `sonne_client` is active exclusively on the `/booking/` path, expires automatically after 2 hours of inactivity, and is only transmitted via an encrypted HTTPS connection (Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax). Without this cookie, the booking process cannot be completed.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is integrated via Google Tag Manager. Within the booking system, the following events are tracked: room selection, shopping basket view, checkout initiation, payment method selection, and completed bookings (e-commerce tracking per GA4 standard).

All data is processed within the EU. A data processing agreement exists with Google pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Google Ads Conversion Tracking: After a completed booking, a conversion event is reported to Google Ads. The booking value is transmitted, but no personal data such as name or email address. The data helps us measure the effectiveness of our ads and use our advertising budget wisely.

Within the booking system, we also use your browser's Session Storage (`GA4CartItems`). This storage contains a temporary list of rooms and extras you have selected and is used solely to improve the tracking experience. Session Storage is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab. It does not leave your device and is not transmitted to servers.

When you visit our website via an advertisement or external link, the following parameters may appear in the URL: `utm_source`, `utm_medium`, `utm_campaign`, `utm_content`, `utm_term`, `gclid`, `fbclid`, `msclkid`. These parameters are read by the website to capture the source of the visit and are not permanently stored in cookies unless you have accepted analytics or marketing cookies.
